Onyx Medical Staffing was founded on a simple but powerful realization: In healthcare, a shift is never just a shift—it is a commitment to a life in need.
Our founder, Andre Ivy, spent over a decade as a senior recruiter and business development professional, witnessing firsthand the disconnect between massive staffing agencies and the local Ohio facilities they served. He saw that 'filling a hole' wasn't enough; facilities needed clinical experts who were vetted with precision and treated with respect.
In 2025, Onyx was born in Mansfield to close that gap. We didn't want to be the biggest agency; we set out to be the most elite. By combining ten years of recruiting insight with a tech-forward approach to onboarding and a dedicated rewards culture for our nurses, we created a system where everyone wins.
